The Autonomous Community approves a new phase of € 550,000 Employment Plan Lorca + (11/07/2016)

The Regional Employment and Training will select 28 people between long-term unemployed and many others among young graduates in their first approach to work, thereby allowing twenty projects of municipal interest linked to recovery after the earthquake.

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Director General of the Regional Employment Service and Training, Alejandro Zamora, along with Councilwoman Employment, Eulalia Ibarra, presented this morning a new phase of Employment Plan Lorca + with which in coming months will draw unemployment to 56 unemployed Lorca through a grant of 500,000 € from the Regional Government and 50,000 € Consistory Lorca.

Jodar said that "this new initiative the Regional Government gives new impetus to the Employment Plan Lorca +, which started a few days after the earthquakes of 2011 Plan and has continued over the years, not only with actions of this type but also with training programs for women and subsidized by the Ministry of Social Services or plans reindustrialization, I urge you to trade or investments to ensure agricultural use of the Central and regional governments, which contribute to the consolidation and job creation in the town".

Specifically, with the resolution adopted by the Executive of Pedro Antonio Sánchez the Regional Employment and Training will select 28 people from the long-term unemployed between 30 and 58 years and as many among young graduates in their first approach to the world of work .

This new phase, financed by the European Social Fund, will allow the Consistory Lorca execution of twenty projects of municipal interest.

Contracted people carry out works and services of general and social interest related to the earthquake.

Specifically, be involved in the technical supervision of infrastructure in the affected neighborhoods within the local service development, work files processed in the service of Urbanism and pay social care for affected families.

In addition, they conduct repairs and minor works agencies and local spaces, such as parks, gardens and green areas or social centers, as well as measures to improve basic infrastructure in different streets of the town.

Employment and training programs

In the municipality of Lorca, the SEF also subsidizes 718,000 euros mixed employment and training program, which this year 55 student-workers will benefit.

It also allocates 225,000 euros to hire 21 unemployed workers participating in the program local public employment and subsidizes the City with more than 278,000 euros conducting various training activities aimed at long-term unemployed over 45 years and unemployed workers belonging groups at risk of social exclusion, which will have this year with 150 students.

Special Employment Centres

The special employment centers of the municipality of Lorca employ 181 people, of which 164 have some kind of disability.
