The aim is to implement the work that has been developing throughout the year in veterinary clinics, attending in June to the residents of our parishes.
It is developed jointly by City Hall, College of Veterinarians and veterinary clinics in the city of Lorca
The Councillor for Health in the City of Lorca, Maria del Carmen Ruiz reported the results of the Vaccination Campaign against Lorca 2016 rabies developed in different districts of our municipality and is completed with a total of 146 vaccinated dogs.
This campaign was carried out in collaboration with the College of Veterinarians of the Region with veterinary clinics in the city, who have performed a battery of displacement to provide this service in different places of the municipality.
The aim of this initiative is to implement the work of veterinary clinics serving Lorca during the month of June to the residents of our parishes.
Ruiz Jodar has highlighted the increase in 11, the number of animals vaccinated over the previous year and have benefited from the service of this action.
He also said the enormous usefulness of this health measure and its maintenance over time has managed to consolidate as a reference for people who have pets, especially dogs and cats.
The mayor reported that the rabies vaccination can be performed throughout the year, however these specific annual campaigns in enclaves of districts that do not have veterinary clinics that can provide the service develop.
The benefit of the vaccine is twofold;
as it protects, first, the animal suffering this disease, and the population, the risk of being achieved.
In the case of our municipality, it has provided coverage to pet owners 10 districts of our municipality were as follows:

The mayor of Health wanted to thank and congratulate the group of veterinarians for their contribution in favor of health maintenance carrying out their work within this campaign in our municipality.
From City Hall to all citizens who have pets that are required to keep them in proper sanitary conditions recalled, especially the periodic vaccination, which not only has to be done in dogs, but also in other species such as cats and ferrets.
