The mayor reports that the fourth tranche of the Central round Lorca begin service at full capacity next day on August 10 (28/07/2016)

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar has reported that the fourth installment of the Central round will begin service to all citizens at full capacity, if incidents of relevance not arise from next August 10, the date for which It is scheduled to open after completion of the corresponding construction works.

It should be noted that part of this infrastructure has already begun to be used months ago, at the conclusion of the comprehensive improvement of the tranche to Avenida Alcalde Jose Lopez Fuentes, who communicates the round of joining the road of Eagles with existing in the neighborhood San Fernando.

The mayor has stressed that this is the culmination of an important phase of the future Round Evacuation, which is the largest project and draft facing our city so that all Lorca have modern, functional, practical infrastructure and it will offer an outstanding social profitability, mainly due to the fluidity that will provide traffic, the provision of more sections of bike lanes and the construction of new roundabouts to improve and accelerate the circulation in this area.

The Mayor pointed out that the City obtained the pre-financing necessary to carry out the works corresponding to the fourth leg of the round, as well as from the Center of Fairs and Conventions and Business Incubator La Torrecilla, thanks to a bridge loan Institute Official Credit (ICO) has been canceled by receiving 12 million from the ERDF and after obtaining the approval of the EU.

Jodar Alonso has clarified that finally the City has not needed to use in full the total amount of the bridge loan, to have other funds available to deal with this operation as from the Government of Spain which shall be borne improvements implemented in the project Central round.

The mayor stressed that, thanks to these efforts, the municipal commitment that these future infrastructures financed with funds from other administrations, without using municipal resources is met.

The works carried out on the section four of the Central round have been funded with the contribution of ERDF euros and revenues derived special National Lottery draw organized for the benefit of Lorca after the earthquake.

Main data of the work of the fourth tranche of the Central Round:

It has more than twice as wide as the Avenida Juan Carlos I.
