The International Centre of La Torrecilla Beach Volleyball hosts this Saturday night the second edition of the 12 hours of beach handball (22/08/2016)

The tournament, which last year attracted more than 150 participants from throughout the Region of Murcia, is a more salutary lesson for the sports landscape of the city during the summer months.

Councilman Sports City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martinez Carrasco, presented this morning the second edition of the 12 hours of night beach handball.

The tournament, organized by the handball section Sports Association Eliocroca in collaboration with the Consistory Lorca, the Handball Federation of the Region of Murcia and BM Playas del Mar Menor, will take place in the CIVP La Torrecilla during the night Saturday 27 August.

Juan Francisco Martinez explained that "the tournament, which will begin at approximately six o'clock in the afternoon and will last approximately 12 hours, is a unique opportunity to enjoy this spectacular sport either as a player or as a spectator. The Edil Sports has noted that "last year attended this tournament more than 150 participants from throughout the region. 14 teams in total, of which 3 were Lorca, although this year it is expected that the participation figures increase significantly and that They come to the city teams of up to four different regions. with the gradual increase in participation and the impact of this event, we hope that in future years become a test scoring for the Championship of Spain ".

In this sense, Martinez Carrasco said that "the inscriptions for both male absolute, junior and cadet categories like women will be open until tomorrow at 14 hours, with a price of € 10 per player. This registration will entitle participants to a commemorative shirt, migas half of the championship to regain strength and water ".

Finally, Martinez took the opportunity to congratulate Miguel Angel Segura and Julian David Navarro Lorca two players who have recently been champions of Spain in junior category with BM club Playas del Mar Menor.
