The towns of Lorca and Adissan ratify their official twinning agreement (06/09/2016)

A delegation of the French town, led by its Mayor, Philippe Huppé, will have the opportunity for a week to meet Lorca in depth, monuments and museums, in addition to the celebration of the festival in honor of the Virgen de las Huertas

The Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, and the Mayor of Adissan, Philippe Huppé, also president of the National Association "ete Ville d'Arts Metiers", have ratified this morning at the Consistory Lorca commitment twinning with the city.

After years of working together, on July 14, coinciding with the celebrations of Adissan was initialed officially twinning between the two populations.

The mayor recalled that "during the two days we were in Adissan last July we saw everything that unites us. We found a town that values ​​and pampers its lorquinas traditions, a population who always thinks of Lorca and is a day of that happens in our town. But above all, during the hours we were in France collected the affection of the inhabitants of Adissan, who were delighted with the twinning between the two populations. Now it's time to ratify in the Sun City agreement but also to give back to the residents of Adissan of the affection they gave us. "

Francisco Jodar insisted that "twinning between Lorca and Adissan has to be more than a mere institutional formality. We have to use this channel to promote coexistence, cultural development and collaboration in many dimensions to offer an interest.
