The comprehensive improvement of the town of Lorca is extended with the renovation of 58 streets in the neighborhood of San Cristobal (30/09/2016)

The overall improvement of the urban town of Lorca is extended with the remodeling work being carried out in 58 streets of San Cristobal, as announced today by the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Pedro Rivera.

The Minister and the Mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, visited this neighborhood to check the status of the actions that are already under development in 25 blocks and form part of a first phase of comprehensive action plan on the neighborhood, where the regional government invests more than $ 7.5 million.

Pedro Rivera said the intervention "is one of the necessary works of Lorca and is progressing at a good pace".

Therefore, he said, "this year we want to finish the work on improving the first 25 streets and continue with a second phase to fix 33 other urban roads" and noted that the regional government "is working with the City in this action".

In this first phase, already completed action renewal Campuzano crossing and the rest of track modernization work of underground utilities (telecommunications, water, sanitation ...), pavement and street lighting continue.

The budget for this phase amounts to three million euros.

New neighborhood
