The Socialists continue to propose initiatives for improvement, promotion and economic and social recovery of the historic environment of Lorca.
With this new proposal, since the PSOE claim that progressively, and while not urbanize them, these abandoned spaces are cleaned and adecenten to have a provisional public use, improve the aesthetics and functionality of the Old Town and reverse its use both the population and the economic and business fabric.
Councilman Municipal Socialist Group, David Romera, has again raised under the raft of proposals pro promotion, improvement and restoration of the historic center of Lorca, a new initiative that will have a positive impact on both the population living in the historic area and the economic and business fabric.
It is those lots that are located in the vicinity of the historic center of the city, be provisionally used as car parks or recreation and rest areas for public use.
The mayor has stated that this is "an experience that has already been practiced in other Spanish cities with excellent results, placing value obsolete available to the public spaces, which results in an improvement in the quality of life of residents and visitors" .
Romera has again highlighted the lamentable situation in which many sites located in the Historic and Artistic Complex.
According to the councilman, "this situation harms the tourist image of the city, resulting in a very ugly sight that impoverishes urban space and disrupts the monumental environment."
