Ecopark Coy: 208,797 euros thrown away by the abandonment of the PP (07/11/2016)

The ruinous management Ecopark Coy is the result of an expense that "never responded to the real needs of the residents of the districts high" and therefore a "misuse" that the PP has been doing taxes paid the citizens of Lorca

The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in Lorca, Marisol Sanchez Jodar has denounced the "deplorable and invaded by neglect" state that have facilities Ecopark Coy, built in 2010 and whose use and management were transferred that same year the Autonomous Community of the City of Lorca.

This clean point was the result of an investment of 208,797 euros financed by the CARM and the Cohesion Fund of the European Union.

These facilities were called to be a collection point for waste in the service of the districts high, and whose operation would be used to prevent the uncontrolled dumping of large waste, recycling of discarded materials, as well as for the establishment of an information and environmental education thanks to the installation of several classrooms built at the facility.

To do this, as recalled the socialist mayor, the city of Lorca pledged to implement and to undertake and finance the costs of upkeep and maintenance of this Ecoparque "within a maximum period of three months from its inauguration in March 2010 ".

In turn, "there was also the commitment of the CARM, to review by" any spot checks "to verify the use and maintenance of the Ecopark.

Therefore, Sanchez Jodar has denounced "the manifest deceit of the various governments of the Popular Party, the residents of the districts high in particular and lorquina citizenry as a whole."

As revealed through an extensive photographic reportage, the Ecoparque presents "a totally deplorable state, as the abandonment of City Hall and Ministry for years have led to this enclosure is the subject of spoliation of its extensive furnishings, and continuous vandals ".

This "ruinous" Coy Ecoparque management responds to the Popular Party has been doing taxes paid by citizens of Lorca "improper and totally away from the interests of the residents of the districts high use."

According to Sanchez Jodar, and judging by the pitiful state in which these units are "clearly due to waste, rather than a need for the residents of the districts high".

Therefore, from the PSOE they demand explanations to the various authorities responsible;

in fact, they announce that they will ask the Assembly for "routine checks assumptions and its result" that promised to make the Ministry of Agriculture to monitor the operation of this clean point.

The PSOE announced that in an upcoming Open Assembly held in the hamlet of Coy will ask the neighbors about the use that could be given to this abandoned infrastructure.

In fact, consider that "despite the advanced state of deterioration that presents the enclosure, certain elements that furniture could still take advantage of, and be used where other needed, as in the case of air conditioners, or the modules themselves installed as a classroom. "

European funds that could be used to control the discharge of sewage into Coy

Sanchez Jodar insists on the "misuse" of this investment, considering that this funding from the Cohesion Fund of the European Union might well have been intended instead to solve a real environmental issues presented by the hamlet of Coy years .

Edil socialist refers to the discharge of sewage that today and for years, is dumped in an uncontrolled manner on an irrigation canal.

In this regard, he said that this investment could have been useful to complete the necessary connection of this spill with the construction of sanitation collector to the treatment plant of the Turrilla river and necessary for proper treatment.
