The young people have been received in the Lorca Consistory by the Councilors of Education and Interior Regime, making a complete visit by the most unique elements of the Lorca heritage, including the Plaza de España and the interior of the Town Hall.

The Councilors of Education and Interior Regime of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel and Fulgencio Gil, received 45 young people from Cyprus, Denmark, France, Wales, Ireland and Spain this morning in the Lorca Consistory, participating in the project " A peace of Europe "developed within the Erasmus + program on the award of the Nobel Peace Prize to the European Union in 2012.
Francisco Montiel said that "these young people have come to our city to make an exchange with the IES Prince of Asturias. The purpose is to do projects, research and analysis on peace in Europe, working on the whole concept and education for This exchange will help participants to understand what role young people can play in their communities and in society in order to create and maintain a peaceful coexistence. The result of this was reflected this morning in the Cultural Center of the city with a Conference in which the students have been for a few hours commissioners of the United Nations and have shown the results of their work, and have also offered a concert where they have interpreted issues related to peace.
The Councilor for Education emphasized that "this kind of projects are those that contribute to the advancement of the educational model that our students benefit from. The training of students should not be limited to the acquisition of new knowledge, but we must strive to establish ways The establishment of new relations of friendship and the opportunity to approach other countries and to know their culture and society is a determining factor for the personal growth and general enrichment of the educational community. On the other hand, tomorrow they will visit Cartagena and Murcia, since on Saturday they will return to their countries of origin.
