The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has celebrated the coincidence that the Regional Union of Construction Businessmen has shown with the proposal that from the Municipal Socialist Group already raised, without success, the PP government team.

It is the initiative that, at the time, and prior to the start of the awarding of the works of Juan Carlos I, Mateos proposed that for the first time a "true process of citizen participation" be opened, after which, And on the basis of these conclusions, to convene a competition of technical projects "so that the interested technicians could present their proposals, ideas and projects".

In this sense, Mateos has taken advantage of once again to show his opposition to the way in which the adjudication of the works of Juan Carlos I has been carried out. Without doubting the legality of the process, and with the respect always the criterion of The municipal technicians, the Socialist Spokesman has lamented that the PP government team did not finally dare to be as open, participatory and transparent as possible in this regard.

From the PSOE consider that the process that has been carried out "has not been the most appropriate".

In this sense, and as he has recently expressed, Mateos insists that the current procedure, and with which most urban recovery actions have been awarded after earthquakes, "in addition to not reflecting neighborhood needs, The work of valuation of the offers, since there are numerous subjective criteria when examining the projects and their cost.

For all of this, Mateos values ​​positively the coincidence with the Union of Construction Businessmen on the importance that the adjudications of works are done "always respecting the interests and needs of the citizenship, and therefore, acting in a transparent way, backed by Citizen participation, and ultimately, generating fewer doubts in its award.

Mateos has once again emphasized the importance of having a double administrative procedure for the award of urban redevelopment works: a first phase in which a competition for technical projects is opened and guaranteed by the result of the participation Citizen, and a second, to evaluate the economic offers based on the winning project of the previous phase.
