IU-Verdes brings forward its three motions in the November plenary session for the benefit of Lorca (28/11/2016)

The expansion of the portfolio of services in Area III Health, the declaration of Lorca as a zone free of tax havens and the modification of the Fiscal Ordinances, add to the initiatives defended by this training that are approved unanimously in the highest body Politician of the Town Hall

The three motions raised by the Municipal Left United Greens Group to the Plenary of the City of Lorca held this morning have been unanimously approved after amendments presented by the PP.

Thus, through an initiative defended by our councilor Gloria Martín, the session will ask the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Region of Murcia to expand the portfolio of services in Area III Health requiring the implementation in 2017 of the Integrated Center of High Resolution envisaged in Santa Rosa de Lima (that has been announcing since 2009).

This service will allow the diagnosis of serious diseases in a single consultation.

The regional government will also be urged to focus on home care as a voluntary and alternative method to traditional hospitalization, so that patients can receive treatment and health care in their own home.

Similarly, the regional government is urged to update and implement the Regional Plan for Palliative Care and specifically to provide the Pediatric Palliative Care and Home Hospitalization Unit with the human and material resources necessary to guarantee palliative care, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to children suffering from terminal illness or disability.

With the approval of the motion held by our councilor Dori Peñas, the Ayuntamiento adheres to the Oxfam-Intermon campaign to declare Lorca a zone free of tax havens.

In this sense, the council will include clauses of fiscal responsibility in the specifications of public tenders to penalize companies that use their interests in tax havens to avoid paying taxes in Spain, clauses guaranteeing public transparency that are Apply as a prerequisite and as an element of assessment prior to award.

Companies that attend public competitions of the City of Lorca will also be required to report on their activity in tax havens and to identify each of their subsidiaries in them, specifying their activity, the number of employees, turnover, Economic result and taxes paid.
