The court requires the City of Lorca reports that gave approval to the works of La Viña, requested by the PSOE (05/12/2016)

Mateos regrets to have to resort to the Justice to have access to information that to exist must act in the power of the citizens and, in particular, of the municipal groups whose work is the one to control the action of government.

This lack of transparency increases doubts about the "existence or not" of the reports that gave approval to the works of La Viña, plagued with defects.

The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has celebrated the decision of the Court of Contentious-Administrative Number 5 of Murcia, to admit to processing the requirement to the City of Lorca to deliver a copy of the municipal reports that justified the reception By the town council, of the urban regeneration works of La Viña, requested in writing by the Socialist Group on 6 September.

Specifically, by decision of this judicial body, the government team of the PP will be obliged to deliver to the Court itself a copy of the File RP-11/2015, and a copy of the Technical Report and Act of Reception of the Works of Urban Regeneration after the earthquakes Of the neighborhood of La Viña.

However, Mateos regrets that it had to be Justice who has to remind the Popular Party of the rules applicable to the right to information with which all the councilors of the Municipal Corporation, including those of the Municipal Socialist Group, count.

In this sense, he has shown his discomfort at having to go to court to obtain information that "if it exists, it must act in the hands of the citizens and, especially, those of us who have the responsibility to control government action," He says.

The socialist spokesman recalls that on September 6, and in exercising his right as a member of the Municipal Corporation, he asked the government team for a copy of the reports that justified the reception of the works of La Viña.

Following the deadlines imposed by law on the government team to deliver these reports, and having obtained from the PP the "silent for response" by administrative means, Mateos was forced to file a contentious-administrative appeal for the protection of Fundamental Rights Of the people, and thus to obtain this information that "we do not know for what reasons, the Popular Party has refused to deliver all this time," he adds.

Recently, in the last Plenary Mateos took the opportunity to demand that the PP respond to these requests.

After this Plenum, and coincidentally coinciding with the dates on which the Court ruled on the matter, the PP sent to the Socialist Group a copy concerning the Patrimonial Responsibility file where the existence of problems due to leaks of rainwater in garages of several Homes, specifically in Calle Panaderías.

A "partial" response, since it was still pending access to the municipal reports, and not the CARM, with which the works of regeneration of La Viña were approved for reception.

The socialist spokesman condemns this "lack of transparency and obscurantism" that the PP demonstrates in its day to day by refusing to give access to these reports that, "if there is, delivery and / or consultation should be almost immediate, A few reports, not bulky records. "

Mateos insists that this "dark proceeding" on the part of the PP does no more than "increase the serious doubts about the reception of the works of regeneration of La Viña", and on the "existence or not" of those municipal reports that "Gave the go-ahead" to some works, remembers "plagued with defects and hidden vices."
