EU, Government of Spain, Autonomous Communities and Town Councils defend the consumer

Ruiz Jódar has indicated that one of the substantial rights of consumers, among others, is the one related to the right to health and safety, and in this sense we are protected by Article 11 of the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users.

The principle of the free movement of goods is one of the four constitutional freedoms of the internal market and its implementation with the abolition of the intra-Community borders of the EU countries has led to a great proliferation in the supply of goods and services in the Markets, with greater diversity and complexity, a task which the competent authorities have to face.

This situation is compounded by those products which also appear on the market and come from third countries.

However, this principle of free movement has certain limitations.
