The PSOE echoes the neighborhood protests and requests another site for the LIMUSA logistics center. Mateos says that LIMUSA's new logistics center is necessary, but warns that the proposed location, the Orchard of the Wheel, is not the More suit (10/02/2017)

The PSOE Spokesman in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos echoed the protests of residents of the area of the Residential Huerto de la Rueda, who have collected more than 500 signatures against the installation of the logistics center LIMUSA , In the current car park and storage of vehicles attached to their homes.

The main reason for this neighborhood opposition is that these planned installations entail the installation of mechanical workshops, car parks, car washes and other facilities "likely to cause numerous inconveniences and noises to residents".

Mateos pointed out that there are almost 300 people who reside there while LIMUSA and the City Council ignore their requests.

In this sense, the Spokesman calls attention to these neighbors because he warns that "they do not oppose the need to build such a logistics center, but they do request that they be carried out in another place where it does not cause inconvenience and noise to nearby homes."

Even, he says, "the neighbors themselves have accompanied their complaints to LIMUSA with alternative proposals."

However "to date, the company has not ruled, and neighbors are ready to reach the court to stop this action."

In view of this problem, from the Socialist Group we requested on the 3rd of writing, the consultation and copy of the construction project of the new LIMUSA logistics center, which insists Mateos "we consider necessary to build", but that warns, "the team of PP government should seek a more appropriate location, so that this installation is away from inhabited homes and, at the same time, does not distort the environment that make up the Auditorium under construction and the Fairground.

Just as the neighbors have requested, Mateos hopes that the construction of the Logistics Center in that place will be paralyzed and "a more adequate one will be found, generating less discomfort and, of course, complying with all mandatory urban and environmental requirements."

It also requires that the new location has as many authorizations and licenses as are mandatory, which are required of any other private company to build, relocate or expand its facilities.

Mateos has also requested an extraordinary and urgent meeting of the Board of Directors of the company LIMUSA "so that the project is presented to us, since they have not yet given it to us and we are given all the explanations about the project, the cost, The facilities that will be made, if it has the necessary administrative licenses or if it is necessary to acquire adjoining land ".

Although it is a project of about 2 million euros, Mateos regrets that the opposition does not know "practically nothing officially" about it, a situation that, he says, "is another example of the lack of transparency of LIMUSA, consented and protected by the Delegate Councilor LIMUSA, D. Fulgencio Gil Jódar.

At the same time, Mateos has criticized that the City Council of Lorca, in the almost 10 years that has been governing the PP, has not developed any Partial Plan in the vicinity of the urban area "to provide enough land to locate the different endowments and equipment Public ".

"That's why he assures us - so we are having difficulties locating municipal facilities like this."

In this sense, ensures that the consistory must get to work and deal with such planning to obtain land free of charge "that allow to have several options to locate public services.
