The City of Lorca, in the face of criticism and falsehood this morning sent by the mayor Antonio Mecca wants to clarify the following issues:
Antonio Mecca has a serious problem, and has to assume the consequences of having spent money from the municipal subsidy in campaign expenses.
The accounts of the municipal groups have NEVER reflected any problems until Antonio Mecca has had access to this money.
It is not known that Antonio Mecca has delivered the accounts that he claims to have deposited in any service of the City Council, something he claims to have done and which denotes bad faith.
The City Council reiterates to Antonio Mecca that it respects and collaborates in a loyal and responsible way with the established municipal inspection organs, instead of criticizing them and trying to exert pressure against the officials of this Consistory.
The Law of Bases of Local Regime indicates that the contributions of the municipal groups can not serve to the financing of the respective political parties, something that Antonio Meca has to have well clear.
This Consistory, according to the information that has transpired in the last days, initiated an investigation to the effect by virtue of the result that will take the appropriate actions.
