The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure has tendered the works of conditioning the access road and ring road to Lorca Castle, and its connection to the southern part of the city, with a budget of 2,411,255 euros.

José Antonio Fernández Lladó, general director of roads, said that "the new road will improve the conditions of traffic, accessibility and safety to this area so important for the municipality where there are cultural and tourist infrastructures of Lorca, such as Castillo and The National Parador of the city, which are very frequented by visitors.

Signaling and drainage of the road will also be improved, in order to avoid accumulation of water on the platform of the road.

The action includes the construction of a new road connecting the Castle with the southern part of the city, with a length of 1,375 meters and a width of 8 meters, which will include vertical and horizontal signaling, protection barrier bionda And anti-glare screens in the parallel section to the A-7.

The investment of 2.4 million euros, to be realized in two annuities, is financed through the European Investment Bank (EIB).
