The group of Choirs and Dances Mancha Verde de Argamasilla de Alba will participate tomorrow in the VII Children's Festival of Folklore "Tío Pillo" organized by Coros y Danzas Virgen de las Huertas (21/04/2017)

The performances will be from 21 hours in the cloister of the Convento de la Merced.

In the morning from 10:30 a.m., the children will be able to participate in the environment of the Medieval Wall in activities such as "Embroidering with colored pencils", "Esparto workshop", "Traditional games", "Have fun dancing" and A "gastronomic table"

The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, and the vice president of the Group of Choruses and Dances Virgen de las Huertas, Luis González, have detailed the program of the VII Child Show Folklore 'Tio Pillo', which this group will celebrate tomorrow For the second time in the surroundings of the old convent of La Merced.

Specifically, from 10:30 and until 13:30 in the morning all the children who wish to participate in the environment of the Medieval Wall in many activities such as "embroidering with colored pencils", which will color The drawing of a lorquino requete, while all the attendants will be able to see two people embroidering, while explaining how this art is realized;

In the afternoon, after 21:00 pm in the cloister of the convent, the children's show will be held, in addition to a representation of the Lorca group that promotes the event, the group of Choirs and Danzas Mancha Verde de Argamasilla de Alba of Castilla La Mancha. It should be noted that this Group was founded in 1942 and has since gone through different stages.

At present it is formed by twelve mixed couples of dance, ten components of rondalla between guitars, lutes and bandurrias, as well as two cantaores.

In addition, it also has a municipal school of traditional folklore in La Mancha where annually enroll about 200 students, between small and adults between 3 and 16 years.

Agustín Llamas, lastly, has encouraged Lorca to enjoy this show as it is a unique opportunity to enjoy the regional dances that the youngest learn during their rehearsals at the Folklore School of the group at its headquarters in the Exhibition Center Of the Garden of the Wheel thanks to an agreement signed with the City council of our city. At the same time it has congratulated to the Virgen de las Huertas Choirs and Dances to keep alive our traditions and to promote them among the smallest ones.
