From the Municipal Group of IU-Greens we want to give voice to the complaints of several neighbors, who have informed us of the poor state of the tracks located after the school of La Pedrera, between Paseo Barco de Ávila and Rampa Street.
There it can be observed that due to the lack of maintenance, the baskets of the baskets have disappeared or are very deteriorated, making impossible the practice of the basketball.
On the other hand, we have twice asked for information in the plenary about the project to build a basketball court in a central area of ​​the city, due to the lack of a court for the practice of this sport in that area of ​​the town .
In October of 2015, the Councilor of Sports told us that the project was ready and that only needed to determine the site.
On the second occasion, on February 1, 2016, he told us that this project was going to take place in the vicinity of the park of El Cespín.
To this day, the work is still not carried out.
For all this, we ask that the baskets of the tracks located after the school of La Pedrera be activated, changing the boards for a material that will last in time.
In addition, we demand the good maintenance and cleaning of these tracks.
We also demand information about that basketball court that was to be built more than a year ago and, to this day, nothing is known yet.
