The Councilor for Social Services of the Municipality of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, reported this morning that the Cultural Center will be until May 14 the second stop of photographic exhibition entitled "A day in the Educational Reinforcement" carried out by children of the Caixa Proinfancia program of the Social Work "La Caixa" of some of the entities that develop the Program in the Region of Murcia.
The exhibition opens this afternoon at 8 pm.
The origin of this exhibition is to put in value from the point of view of boys and girls the importance that education has for them. The Education Reinforcement program in which Lorca children participate specifically focuses on supporting school tasks and The study, the resolution of doubts and difficulties of comprehension, the monitoring of the schooling and the control of the agenda.
In addition, within the same activities are developed reinforcement and support school with small groups in the school itself in coordination with the tutors.
This sample, which emerged in one of the initiatives that the table of entities responsible for the educational reinforcement subprogram raised, is composed of 40 images made by minors of the entities that develop the Program Proinfancia Caixa in Lorca: Red Cross Lorca and Foundation Cepaim Lorca, and in Murcia: Coordinator of Barrios de Murcia, Full Inclusion, Fundación Secretariado Gitano, Copedeco S.Coop, Asociación Columbares and Fundación Cepaim.
The scope of participation has been closed to the participants in the Educational Reinforcement activity and 5 categories of participation have been established that cover 1 ° and 2 ° of Primary, 3 ° and 4 ° of Primary, 5 ° and 6 ° of Primary, 1 2nd and 2nd Secondary Education and 3rd and 4th Secondary Education.
The theme has been focused on everything that the participant could relate to the development of a day in the reinforcement.
In addition, optionally, the photograph could be accompanied by an explanatory or evocative text of the image to adapt it to the context of the contest or to explain its relation with the Educational Reinforcement.
In this year, 2017, the Program celebrates 10 years of implementation accompanied by the entities that develop it, the families with which they work and the educational centers with which the activity is coordinated.
Specifically in Lorca, the Caixa Proinfancia Program was put into operation in 2012, in coordination with the City Council of Lorca and Fundación Cepaim, Caritas and Red Cross as entities that develop it, and serves a total of 774 children and 44 families.
It should be noted that Fundación Cepaim, which is in charge of coordinating this program, ensures that the entities that apply the program come together to break the circle of child poverty, guaranteeing the access of children at risk of social exclusion to Same opportunities as other minor ones in health, socially and educationally.
