More than a thousand Lorca children will participate next Friday in the XVIII edition of the Paper Procession (03/05/2017)

It will start at 7 pm and it is one of the most endearing events of all those taking place in our city, as they represent the biblical parades of Holy Week Lorca using materials such as cardboard, plastic and paper.

In addition, on May 6 will take place the descent of Calvary and on May 12, in the neighborhood of San Cristobal, will be held the Procession of Silence

The Councilor for Youth of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, together with the President of the Youth Council, Ricardo Trapero, presented this morning the XVIII edition of the popular "Paper Procession".

It is one of the most endearing events of all those who are developing in our city and in which it is foreseen the participation of more than a thousand extras that will recreate the most important religious and cultural manifestation of Lorca, such as our Biblical-Passion Week parades Santa, on the street Corredera.

Agustín Llamas explained that "the procession will take place on Friday, May 5, starting at 7 pm The tour begins at the confluence of Corredera and General Terrer Leonés streets in the direction of the Church of San Francisco. You can enjoy this parade that is a representation of the biblical parades of Holy Week Lorca, but with the peculiarity that all costumes, carts and floats are made by children, using materials such as cardboard, plastic and paper.

The Councilor for Youth said that "in this parade the youth associations and youth groups of the Lorca brotherhoods, the youth associations of Paso Blanco, Encarnado, Morado and the youth of Paso Azul and the Curia and the Resurrection participate.
