Almost a dozen activities make up this year's program of the popular "Sample of Active Aging" (15/05/2017)

As a novelty this year will be a March and a Manifesto for Active Aging that will start from the Plaza de España to the Alamedas

The Councilor for Policy of the Mayor of the City of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, presented this morning the popular "Active Aging Sample", to be held in the city from 15 to 19 May, and made possible by funding Obra Social La Caixa.

It is a sample that responds to the needs expressed by the interested parties and which were collected during a working meeting with the presidents of the Associations of Seniors and representatives of the Day Centers and Residences of the municipality.

Fátima Mínguez has reported that "as a novelty this year there will be a March and a Manifesto for Active Aging that will start from the Plaza de España to the Alamedas and will run through Calle Álamo, Almirante Antonio Aguilar, General Terrer Leones, Lope Gilbert and Calle Presbítero Emilio García On arrival, water, fruit and a cap will be distributed.It is worth mentioning that this manifesto will be carried out by the Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, together with a representative of the group of elders and the Residencia de Ancianos de San Diego.
