The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, presented the Trends Summer Fest 2017 that aims to boost the Lorca summer nights and turn the city into a cultural setting for the enjoyment of neighbors and visitors.
There will be 45 activities in the coming months, although the main block will run until July 28.
Flames has emphasized that "Trends Summer Fest is a contest characterized by a series of virtues. It is multidisciplinary, as it encourages different performing arts such as cinema, literature, circus arts, theater, folklore, gastronomy and a lot of music. Mainly in 7 stages: Lorca Plaza, Plaza de España, Calderón, Alameda, Campus Universitario, Fortress of the Sun and Guevara Palace.This is a festival for all: it offers shows of different nature, from the classic to the avant- Of all the summer, on weekdays and weekends, is also economic for the spectators, since most of the performances are free, while the ones that have price has been tried whenever it is the most economic possible.In addition, You will also visit the districts of Avilés, Almendricos, Coy, Puntas de Calnegre and Zarzadilla de Totana with Cine + COPE ".
This same Thursday and until Sunday we will have the Gastro Truck that will be installed in the Alameda de la Constitución.
After the successful experience of last year, this initiative returns to Lorca with its spectacular design and the best dishes of regional, national and international cuisine.
In addition we will have the presence of the winner of Master Chef 3 and participant of "Cooks to the Volante", Carlos Maldonado, recognized food-trucker with his "Kitchen Gamberra".
The Gastro Truck will boost the performances of Essential Rock Band, Soul Band, The Tracks and ambient music.
On Saturday, June 17 will be Severo Rap, the first Rap Festival with the participation of Hard GZ, Dani, Juanih South, Khan, Giorgio Masplatino, Ink, Elmele, New Formulas, Zi Puerkos.
It will start at 3 pm on the University Campus.
Tickets are on sale for the price of 10 and 12 euros.
The Alfonsina Tower will be the scene of the night of San Juan.
And is that on Friday June 23 the Compañía Teatro Guera will represent "The Revenge of Don Mendo" in two passes, 8.30 pm and 10 pm.
At 24 hours there will be an act with the bonfire of San Juan.
The Plaza de Calderón will host on June 24 a poetic-musical recital organized by the poetic group Espartaria.
Sensi Falán, Daniel Mata, Aníbal García Rodríguez, Antonio Praena, Jesús Urceloy and Katy Parra will speak.
Between Wednesday 28 and Friday 30 of June will be held in the Palace of Guevara a contest of Microtheatre.
Every day, from 8 pm, mini-plays will be performed contemporary in a format of reduced capacity.
The price of each function is 3 euros.
One of the special events is the XXVI International Folklore Festival "Ciudad de Lorca", organized by Coro y Danzas de Lorca and will be held from Thursday 29 June to 5 July.
Lorca Plaza will host a cycle of songwriters on Wednesday in July in an intimate format that will be inaugurated by Javier Álvarez on July 5.
On Wednesday, July 12, the company "La Trócola Circo" will present "Emportats", a showy street theater show.
The Plaza de España will be the setting for GRRRR !, a musical performance that includes improvisation and sound experimentation, which we can enjoy on Thursday, July 13 from 22.30.
The following day, Friday July 14, at 23 hours in the Plaza de España one of the most outstanding bands of the last decade will visit Lorca: Despistaos.
The group will review some of the topics that have most sounded in Spanish radio-formulas such as "Physics or chemistry", "Every two minutes", "Caresses on your back" or "The shoes of a clown".
On Saturday, July 15, the Plaza de España will host the 2016 Festival of Lo Ferro. In this great flamenco gala will perform the Golden Melon 2014, Fernando Rodríguez, Sebastian Contreras "Batián", the bailaora Mamen Baños and the guitarists Fernando Rodríguez and Antonio Fernández.
The music of the author will have a double date on Wednesday, July 19 in Lorca Plaza with the performance of JL Manzanero and Project JASS, two of the singer-songwriters Murcia with the longest tour.
The Tremens Band will review standards and songs from all jazz times on July 20th in the Plaza de España.
The award-winning show "El Apartamento", which combines circus and humor, will be represented by the company "Cirk About It" on July 26 in Calderón.
The cycle of songwriters will conclude on July 27 with the concert of Moy Gomar, who will present in Lorca Plaza his album "Moytopía".
