The PSOE Spokesman in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos demands that the PP not forget the urban regeneration works "still pending" in the neighborhood of San Antonio, as well as in Jerónimo Santa Fe and its surroundings, and in the Area of ​​the city known as "Viña baja" or Camino Viejo del Puerto.

Mateos warns that the Popular Party, with its continuous delays, is putting at risk the financing for the continuous delays to these projects.

Therefore, Mateos has announced that at the next municipal meeting will raise a motion with which to require the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, within a term not exceeding one month, initiate the necessary procedures for the execution of the Urban Regeneration Project San Antonio, Jerónimo Santa Fe and Camino Viejo del Puerto, after consultation and real participation and effective neighborhoods and neighborhood groups.

Mateos has expressed his concern about the continuous announcements of the Popular Party that remain in "unfulfilled promises", concerning the works of urban regeneration of the urban environments of San Antonio, Jerónimo Santa Fé and Camino Viejo del Puerto.

Diego José Mateos regrets that to date "neither the opportune agreement nor have begun the paperwork of reports or projects" and, therefore, "do not even have the record of contracting the works."

In this regard, he has expressed his concern as he warns that "the closing dates of the projects financed by EIB funds are approaching and the details of these works are not yet completed."

Likewise, and to avoid the lack of coordination between different but adjacent projects, Mateos says that it is necessary to implement a mechanism to coordinate the works to avoid recurring "chaotic" situations such as those suffered by residents of La Viña and Alfonso X. Simultaneous execution of both projects caused "numerous annoyances to the neighbors" as well as failures in the execution of these works that translated into "damages that still, to this day, continue to suffer the neighbors in its streets".

Therefore, Mateos will ask that in the plans and schedule of execution of these works, the City of Lorca together with CARM study the coordination between them to minimize the annoyances, errors and circulatory chaos that is currently occurring in Lorca.
