The municipal group Citizens has presented yesterday a letter addressed to Mr. Mayor regarding Nypacold, Association of children and parents against drugs, which has been exercising for years a great work in its fight against this social scourge that is the Consumption of drugs, especially among young people.
"There are countless services provided to the society of Lorca and their results are unquestionable if we compare the statistics of consumption of different substances considered harmful to health," said the Councilman.
Until May 2011 the Nypacold association had a social place to receive and care for citizens who demanded their help, in Selgas street corner with Fernando V. In the wake of the earthquakes were forced to leave the property and to this day do not have Adequate facilities to carry out their social function.
Mecca notes that "there was a commitment of the previous mayor to make available to him the premises that previously occupied the San Cristóbal Pensioners and Retirees Club in San Diego, owned by Suvilor and currently unemployed."
This building would be adequate if minor reforms are undertaken to suit the specific needs of this association.
"What we have requested is that Nypacold be made available to this building once the necessary improvements have been made, as they were previously promised."
