The PSOE is not complacent with the employment policies in Lorca and denounces in the Bureau of Employment the lack of transparency in the selection processes (06/07/2017)

Navarro takes advantage of the Local Employment Board to claim that training has to be aimed at covering the real demand of the labor market, and denounces the lack of transparency in the selection processes of the Mixed Programs of Employment and Training, municipal job offers and Job offers in municipal capital companies (Limusa and Aguas de Lorca)

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro has taken stock of what happened yesterday during the meeting of the Local Employment Bureau, in which he expressed his disagreement with the employment policies that the Popular Party councilors are applying in the Municipality, while taking advantage to denounce before the different officials present the lack of transparency that accuse the processes of selection of public employment that convenor the Lorca consistory.

Regarding training, Antonio Navarro said he did not agree that the training courses that are called from the Administrations are not related to the real demand for employment of our municipality.

The mayor warns that training must be aimed at recycling the training of workers, so that they have a "wider" range of possibilities to access a job.

Navarro informed the people present that the "real demand" of the labor market in the municipality, given the high frequency with which they remain unfilled for lack of trained personnel, occurs in the sector of Hospitality, as well as in Geriatrics, Hairdressing and Agricultural Pawns, among others.

It therefore insists that training should be directed in that direction.

On the other hand, Navarro took the opportunity to warn, once again, that it is a "popular clamor" for the lack of transparency that exists in recruitment and recruitment processes, both in the Joint Programs of Employment and Training and to work in the City Hall, and municipal capital companies (Limusa and Aguas de Lorca).

For that reason, Navarro requested that it recorded in record the disagreement of the PSOE with the procedures of selection of personnel that impose the Popular Party.

Specifically, Navarro once again demanded that public employment announcements have a registration period of one month, to ensure greater publicity in access to selection processes.

In addition, he again proposed that the choice of topics during the selection process be made by drawing "just before" the tests, and that this draw is "public and open, with participants as eyewitnesses."

In addition, he insisted on eliminating the personal interview of the selection processes, except in the cases in which, due to the characteristics of the post to be performed or due to the danger that may arise from the performance of said post, it is advisable.
