The Councilor for Economy and Finance in the City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martinez, has indicated that the Municipal Council has set the goal of improving the Negative Remnant of Treasury (RNT) in a total of 25.7 million euros, to reduce it To 6.3 million.
This is a challenge that was established by the Local Executive with the aim of accelerating the reorganization of the coffers and accounts of the City Council, seriously weighed down by the 105 million euros of debt that emerged after the audit carried out in 2007.
Juan Francisco Martinez has indicated that the Consistory is making remarkable progress in correcting the economic gaps inherited from previous administrations.
One of these improvements is the total disappearance of the RNT, which we expect to eliminate definitively in 4 years, which is a challenge that we consider to be able to fulfill, since it will mean an extraordinary improvement of the liquidity of this City.
The Edil de Economía has highlighted in the course of the debate on the settlement of the budget of last year, that these achievements will continue to translate into more investments in our city, tax cuts and expansion of municipal services.
In fact, and thanks to the improvement in both the municipal debt figure (lowered to date to 43.6 million, as well as the RNT, throughout this year the Consistory has achieved tax reductions for a total amount higher To 9 million euros, a magnitude that has remained in the pockets of Lorca and is contributing significantly to further promoting the economic activity of the municipality.
Juan Francisco Martinez explained that the City has managed to improve the RNT during the past year in more than 6.3 million, from 14.9 in 2015 to 8.6 with 2017, a fact that reveals that The efforts that are being carried out by all municipal areas, and the high degree of coordination between them, has managed to bear fruit, benefiting Lorca.
Another of the figures that has seen an outstanding improvement is the net saving, which has reached 5.12 million over the past year, confirming the positive evolution of virtually all municipal economic magnitudes.
