The Mayor signs an agreement with the Government Delegation that will allow the Local Police to access the databases and information of the National Police and Civil Guard (12/07/2017)

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, together with the Deputy Secretary General of the Government Delegation, Araceli Urrea, and the Councilor for Public Safety in the Municipal Consistory, María Belén Pérez, has reported that the Local Executive has closed a mutual collaboration agreement With the Government Delegation that will allow the Local Police access to the databases and information with which the Civil Guard and the National Police work.

The Mayor has stressed that this is an agreement that contributes in a decisive way to strengthen collaboration and coordination between the National Police and Local Police in matters of citizen security,

The signing of the agreement in this respect is part of the agreement signed between the Ministry of Interior and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, as well as the Protocol of assistance of the General Directorate of Police in the matter of automated information.

Fulgencio Gil has affirmed that we are talking about a remarkable advance that will allow us to respond in a better and more effective way before any incidence in the matter.

In this way, it participates in the design, execution and evolution of citizen security and road safety policies, establishing the appropriate mechanisms to ensure greater participation and operational coordination between the State Security Forces and Bodies and the Local Police.

From the Local Executive we approach citizen security as one of the basic pillars of the welfare society, considering it a priority to guarantee security through joint and coordinated action,

Thanks to this new agreement our Local Police will be able to access for the first time in history the information bases with which the National Police Corps has.

This is an information exchange in the area of ​​citizen security that will contribute to the optimization of security actions throughout our municipality.

The Local Police, in addition, will have access to the monthly statistical data related to police activity and security indexes, with details of the aspects that the Local Security Board can determine.

The Mayor explained that under this agreement the necessary formulas will be enabled or, where appropriate, the existing ones will be enhanced, which will facilitate the access and consultation by the respective police forces to the police data banks on judicial and Missing persons, as well as stolen vehicles and objects of police interest.

Access and consultation of data banks will be ordered and protocolized.

More than 400 troops in the Summer Safety Plan

The Mayor, after the meeting of the Local Security Board held this morning at the Integrated Center for Security and Emergencies, has reported that a total of 403 troops, between Local Police, National Police and Civil Guard, will ensure the Security of our term Municipality throughout this summer.

The action plan includes neighborhoods and districts.

Zone 4 is located in the urban area. Zone 1 corresponds to the old town and urban center, zone 2 to the neighborhood of San José, Alfonso X, La Viña and San Antonio, zone 3 the districts of San Cristóbal, San Diego and Apolonia and The area 4 neighborhood of San Fernando, Sutullena, Casas del Banco and Virgen de Las Huertas.
