The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has stated that the City is working with the maximum attention focused so that our city takes advantage of and invests up to the last cent of the funding that CARM has made available to Lorca through the achievement of a Loan of EUR 185 million from the European Investment Bank (EIB).
We are talking about a quantity that is proving fundamental so that our municipality is not only able to recover from the earthquake of 2011 and to heal the wounds of the earthquake, but we are all raising a new Lorca, a better, stronger city with infrastructures Avant-garde and best quality services for all.
The Mayor has stressed that Lorca, after suffering a very hard period due to earthquakes, floods and the blows of the worst crisis that is remembered, we are now starting to enjoy a city that has resurfaced with more force than ever.

The Mayor of Lorca has made these demonstrations at the end of his meeting with the Minister of Finance and Public Administration of CARM, Andrés Carrillo.
This is a meeting framed in the series of working meetings with all the Regional Government advisers, and to which he has demanded that the high receptivity that is being offered by the Regional Executive to the issues of Lorca be maintained.
From Lorca is required that the process of construction of this new Lorca advance, within the coordinated planning that is offering an excellent result for the benefit of Lorca.
It should be noted that CARM has already started 90 per cent of the investments planned in Lorca financed by the EIB loan and are mainly covered by the housing, cultural heritage, education and roads sectors.
