The councilor of IU-Greens, Gloria Martín, has shown her satisfaction because, as proposed by this political formation, the municipal government team of the PP will enable spaces dedicated to the practice of naturism and the presence of pets on the beaches of Lorca coast.

Martin, has encouraged the residents to participate with their contributions in the final drafting of the municipal ordinance regulating the correct use of the beaches of Lorca, in the public information stage and hearing of the interested parties until next August 24.

In that sense, IU-Greens has sent its own proposal to the City of Lorca in which it suggests that the third of the coves of Calnegre, the one of San Pedro, is destined to the practice of the naturism by its proximity to the town of Puntas, Which would be beneficial for the establishments in the area given the tourism generated by this activity.

Regarding companion animals, Martín has proposed that his presence be allowed "in all the coves of the area of ​​Cope" given the little influx of visitors.

However, he has asked that the criterion of animal associations of the municipality in this regard be taken into account.

Finally, the councilor of IU-Greens also welcomed the fact that the town councilor, Saturnina Martínez, highlighted the ecological value of the few virgin beaches that still persist in the coast of Murcia and belong to the municipality of Lorca.

In that sense, he recalled that the City Council "still does not do the homework" regarding the full compliance with the sentence of the TSJ that again protects this natural space.

He has also asked for a solution to the disposal of plastics and waste from agricultural activity, which make Cabo Cope and Puntas de Calnegre "the point with more garbage per linear meter of beach," according to Environment European.
