The Councilor for Public Safety in the City of Lorca, María Belén Pérez, has reported that the Local Police has discovered a plantation of marijuana in the hamlet of Avilés, proceeding to the intervention of 83 plants of Cannabis Sativa and the elements related to its culture.

This is an operation carried out within the preventive / operative actions carried out by members of the Prevention and Local Operational Response Unit (UPROL).

Pérez Martínez explained that the Local Police was aware of the existence of an intensive marijuana cultivation point in the Diputación de Avilés, which was the reason for the corresponding investigations that resulted in the location of a plantation of Cannabis Sativa (marijuana ) That had a total of 83 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, which were intervened along with the elements related to its cultivation, proceeding to the identification of the author of the facts.

The Edil de Seguridad has indicated that within the framework of established collaboration, the fact was realized to the Investigation Team of the Civil Guard in Lorca that proceeded to carry out the corresponding procedures that resulted in the identification, arrest and judicial disposition of the Author of the facts.

Belén Pérez has stressed that it is worth highlighting the continuous and excellent coordination and collaboration between the Local Police of Lorca and Civil Guard which has led to the realization of numerous actions that, without any doubt, result in the benefit of the residents of Lorca .
