The PSOE requires the Mayor to comply with the law and collective agreements and thus avoid the strike called LIMUSA (01/09/2017)

The LIMUSA workers have called a strike for the days 15 and 18 of September to demand that they be paid the seniority owed to them since 2012, the non-replacement of personnel, the lack of maintenance of equipment and machinery, improvements in Security and Occupational Health and denounce the systematic non-compliance of the Conventions and agreements.

The Municipal Socialist Group Spokesman, Diego José Mateos, affirms that this strike is the responsibility of the Mayor, Fulgencio Gil Jódar and the Management of LIMUSA who "campaign at his own pace" for the company without respecting the rules on pay, even though they exist legal reports that give workers reason as to the right to charge for seniority that they have frozen improperly since 2012.

Mateos has emphasized that the PSOE has been denouncing this situation that has been created because of the omnimodeo power that falls on the management without there being control by the Municipal Corporation, which are the ones that represent the citizens of Lorca, and remembers that the PSOE has already asked to rectify this unsustainable situation of lack of control on several occasions.

For the socialist mayor LIMUSA workers have been enduring for years the pressure and lack of dialogue of management and the current Mayor and former delegate council of LIMUSA, and are forced to call this strike, which will certainly hurt the service to the citizens.

In this sense, Mateos insists that this situation is derived "because of the lack of dialogue and the haughty and authoritarian position of the management of the company and the Mayor who continue to breach the rules and harming the workers and therefore the provision of service".

Mateos stresses the urgent need to replenish the staff to fill vacancies, as this will improve the provision of the cleaning service, ORA and recycling plant, as well as providing the latter with machinery, facilities and measures. safety and occupational health, as well as the fulfillment of the rights and obligations established by agreements and agreements of companies, he adds.

For all these reasons, socialist spokesman Diego José Mateos demands that an effort be made by the Mayor's Office and "force the management of the company to sit down and dialogue with the workers' representatives" so as to arrive at reasonable and necessary to avoid this call for a strike to which LIMUSA workers have been subjected.
