The PSOE denounces a new rise in unemployment in Lorca. (04/09/2017)

Socialists lament that 183 Lorca again join the lists of unemployment in the month of August, breaking the trend and once again surpassing the figure of the 5000 unemployed in Lorca.

From the Municipal Socialist Group, Councilor Antonio Navarro, after knowing the data of the registered unemployment of the month of August has denounced that "again unemployment rises in Lorca, returning again to exceed the figure of 5,000 Lorca in situation of unemployment."

"Today we find ourselves again with 183 lorquinos regrowing the lists of unemployment, in addition to an increase in the precariousness of the few contracts that have been made, proliferating the figure of" poor with payroll ", as it happens in the set of the Region of Murcia "says Navarro.

In this sense, the Socialist mayor says that "it is clear that in Lorca are still not doing well in terms of job creation, despite the change of municipal responsible, and we are missing the opportunity to see reflected in employment data all of which entails the reconstruction of Lorca, "and indicates that the rise is at 3'73%, higher than the regional average of 3'57%.

"It is evident the exhaustion of the policies of employment of the Popular Party", example for Navarro are the 183 new unemployed Lorca, and the 3,685 murcianos in the whole of the Region "," being demonstrated the necessity of a change in the active employment policies to end labor market instability ".

The socialist councilor, expanding the data offered for the municipality of Lorca, added that "this new rise in unemployment has been widespread among all sectors of activity, agriculture, industry, construction and services," so that the Mayor, the team of government and its person in charge of employment should put their feet on the ground and get down to work, as the data from August confirm once again that the labor market remains anchored in patterns of instability and precariousness, far from a path firm and consolidated process of recovery and job creation that their national leaders are proclaiming.

Finally, Antonio Navarro points out that in recent years, from the PSOE, have been continuously submitted to the former responsible for employment of the City of Lorca proposals aimed at creating quality and long-term employment in our municipality, and that these have been "discarded and tucked away in the drawer of oblivion."

That is why Navarro demands that the new Mayor and his new councilor of employment "get on with the job" and reminds them that they only have to look at the proposals offered by the PSOE to find the solution.
