After being held on Saturday morning the mtb Inescuelas tournament, in the afternoon came the turn to the young cyclists of the region that came to Lorca to participate in a classic of the two wheels as the Trophy Inescuelas.
Up to 87 cyclists from the main clubs from Murcia gathered in the Ciudad del Sol to compete all afternoon in this event organized by the Cyclist Club Juan Zurano and the Department of Sports lorquina.
Due to the works of urban renewal that are being developed in the Avenida Europa, the circuit moved from the zone of the Cat and the Central Round, scenarios of the previous years, to be placed in the environs of the Way Old of the Port next to the school Ana Caicedo and the NGO Center of Lorca.
The new circuit had a length of almost 1 kilometer, so the young stars of tomorrow had to complete more or less turns depending on their age.
Specifically they were 8 races, from the only kilometer that had to cross the promising cyclists until the 20 of the infantile ones.
Between 17:00 and 19:30, all the events were held, finishing the afternoon with the awards ceremony attended by the Councilor for Sports of the City of Lorca, Juan Miguel Bayonas, Murcia coach Juan Miguel López , and the representative of CC Juan Zurano, Ana López.
One more year the female participation was promoted, which fortunately has gone more during the last years and it is more and more frequent to see the girls not only participating in the race, but reaping very good results.
Specifically 15 women participated, especially highlighting the 5 that competed in the race of Infantiles of 1ª.
All of them received, as has been traditional, a floral gift from the organization.
