The Department of Local Development launches the Mixed Program of Employment and Training "Flora" which will benefit 32 Lorca under 30 years (12/09/2017)

The students will perform for 9 months activities in municipal nurseries of the Torrecilla, performances in the lane of Lorca and performances on the southern slope of the Castle of Lorca.

At the end of the training they will receive certificates of professionalism related to "Auxiliary operations in nurseries, gardens and garden centers", "Auxiliary activities in conservation and improvement of forests", "Masonry pavements of urbanization" and "Decorative painting under construction".

The Councilor for Local Development of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martinez, gave this morning the welcome to the 32 beneficiaries of the Mixed Program of Employment and Training "Flora", which began last Thursday.

In these workshops, unemployed people under 30 years will receive for 9 months a theoretical and practical training thanks to which they will receive a certificate of professionalism that will help them find a way out at the end of learning.

Sandra Martínez explained that once the mixed training and employment program has been completed, the beneficiaries will receive certificates of professionalism related to 4 three courses: "Auxiliary operations in nurseries, gardens and garden centers", "Auxiliary activities in conservation and improvement of mounts "," Pavement masonry of urbanization "and" Decorative painting under construction ".

The Councilor for Local Development added that "until June 6, students will perform various actions within the project that will help them to form and have an experience that will make it easier to find a job at the end of learning. following: activities in municipal nurseries of the Torrecilla, performances in the lane of Lorca and performances on the southern slope of the Castle of Lorca.

Martinez has indicated that "the objective of this program is that these people will be trained and learn a trade while doing tasks aimed at improving neighborhoods, pedanias, ramblas, parks and gardens of the municipality, and supposes a new support for Lorca continue to reduce unemployment figures faster than the regional and national average, with a drop in unemployment of almost 3,000 people in the last four years, which puts us in the best employment figures since the beginning of 2009. "

The mayor of Local Development, lastly, said that "this initiative has meant an investment of 282,356.80 euros, of which 20,000 euros are municipal contribution and the rest corresponds to a grant from the Regional Employment Service and Training of the Autonomous Community.Through this, during the first three months students will receive a scholarship of 9 euros per day for attending theoretical classes, and the remaining 6 months will be hired in training for which they will receive a monthly salary of 619,24 euros ".
