The Municipal Socialist Group has echoed the complaints that have generated for many residents the disappearance of the places for Residents of the ORA (Green Zone) in areas of the city that are currently under construction.

The Socialists ask that the PP government team put in place alternatives to fill the reduction of places such as the free use of the Blue Zone or public parking.

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, David Romera, has asked the PP government team to "put in place alternatives for those neighbors who live in areas of the city currently under construction, to supplant those places for Residents of the ORA (Green Zone) that have disappeared because of the same ", since the suppression of these places is causing annoyance to many neighbors who have their card, purchased at the City Hall.

Romera indicates that with the works of urban regeneration, dozens of ORA places for Residents have disappeared, either to be replaced by temporary lanes of traffic during the duration of the works (streets of the Urbanization La Isla, for example) or by the disappearance of the surface parking areas by the extension of the sidewalks (case of Juan Carlos I Avenue).

The mayor says that the lack of PP alternatives, also in this sense, is assuming that neighbors living in the works areas have "big problems" to find places free of ORA for Residents, forcing drivers to swarm by the city and to park in remote areas, since there are not enough places for all.

Therefore, from the Socialist Municipal Group, the PP is required to "implement alternatives to provide users of the ORA with a card for Residents (Green Zone) parking their vehicles near their homes."

For this, from the PSOE propose to offer free use of the Blue Zone closest to the missing places for Residents as well as the possibility of using also free of charge municipal public car parks, such as those of San Vicente, or other non-municipal, as Menchirón, while the works of regeneration last.

In order to complete their proposal, the Socialists add that these measures could be carried out through the establishment of quotas according to the number of places disappeared by zones, and in strict order of request by the users.
