The Councilor for Citizen Security and Traffic, Belén Pérez, announced that Avenida Juan Carlos I will be partially closed to traffic on Wednesdays and Thursdays, due to the progress of the urban regeneration works that are being undertaken.
The City Council has indicated that "the companies that are making this strategic improvement will take advantage of the festive day and the day of the bridge to continue advancing in it, so it will remain partially cut off during both days. the traffic density will be lower during these days and that minor inconveniences will be caused, the court established since Monday focused on the surroundings of the Alameda de la Constitución is prolonged. "
In this way, a single lane will be established for vehicular traffic on Avenida Juan Carlos I in the direction of Murcia from Alameda Ramón y Cajal to Avenida de Santa Clara.
It will also proceed to cut traffic from the Oval, establishing access to Juan Carlos I exclusively for garage users by Alameda de Menchirón, from where the vehicles can take both directions.
The urban bus stops in the Apollonia direction will remain out of service, facilitating alternative itineraries that will be diverted by Ă“valo, Alameda de Cervantes, Ronda Central, Poeta Para Vico, Santa Clara and usual itinerary.
Garage users, other vehicles of up to 6 meters to garages, loading and unloading and public parking lots that run along Santa Clara Avenue in the city center and Oval direction, will be diverted by La Alberca Bridge, Santo Domingo and Lope Gisbert to Ovalo , including city buses and school transport.
