A new collapse in the drainage system of the CEIP San Fernando dining room has once again forced the closure of its facilities.
The PSOE denounces that this "recurrent" problem is a direct consequence of the poor execution of the beginning of the works of the dining room, and of the lack of definitive solutions of a Popular Party that, since the previous break, has been limited only to "patching" these deficiencies.
The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, María Ángeles Mazuecos has lamented, as happened in January this year, the new fortuitous closure of the school cafeteria CEIP San Fernando, due to the breakage of the drainage pipes of these facilities.
Mazuecos has informed that this closure has meant that, during this day, none of the students can make use of this school cafeteria, due to the fact that the wastewater has returned to flood these facilities, according to parents. center.
They assure that, on this occasion, the situation has been "worse than the previous time", since it has caused that these facilities could not be used by the students or by the personnel responsible for the elaboration of the menus.
This fortuitous closure, due to the deficiencies that the drainage system drags since its inauguration, has forced the children to have had to eat sandwiches instead of their corresponding hot menu.
The socialist mayor has once again made clear that this "unfortunate" event is "direct consequence" of the poor execution, from the beginning, of the school cafeteria works of CEIP San Fernando.
Since then, denounces, the solutions given and executed by those responsible for the Ministry, and sold as "definitive solution" has been "manifestly insufficient."
In fact, Mazuecos has reported that the AMPA of the aforementioned school "already warned that the solution was not being adequate, because they were observing from the beginning of the course that the drains were still not working properly, despite the works recently carried out."
Therefore, the councilor of the PSOE reproaches both the Ministry of Education and the City of Lorca the "mediocre management" they are doing in a facility that depends on the daily diet of hundreds of children Lorca.
In addition, from the PSOE urge that the Department of Health carry out a cleaning, disinfection and review of this dining room after the events, because now the dining room "is a focus of infections and bacteria."
Similarly, they demand that "once and for all" the PP does not continue with its "patch policy" because its management has incurred a "triple expense" for the actions carried out.
He assures that in his group "we still do not understand" that the technicians who visited the facilities did not take into account these deficiencies, and that the responsible politicians have not forced the proper checks and reviews of how many arrangements are made in this type of facility.
