The General Director of Territorial Planning, Architecture and Housing, Laura Sandoval, and the Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, today supervised the progress of the urban renewal works that are being carried out in the downtown area of ​​the city, and that have as their main objective the integral improvement of the most important artery of the municipality, as is the case of Juan Carlos I Avenue.

This action includes the remodeling and modernization of different streets and adjacent squares, with an investment of more than 5 million euros. Sandoval highlighted the "good progress in the execution of the works, which has even been ahead of the initially planned deadlines", that has allowed to clear the road to improve accessibility to businesses in this area of ​​the city.
