The councilor of United Left-Greens of Lorca, Gloria Martin, has regretted that PP and Citizens, the party that sustains the Government of Lopez Miras in the Region of Murcia, go back to punish Lorca in health matters in the regional budgets for 2018.
Martin explained that, next year, the Ministry of Health will build new health centers in Lorquí, Santiago and Zaraiche, Caravaca de la Cruz, Sewer, Corvera, Sangonera la Verde, Algezares and Cieza.
However, no departure has been planned to undertake the new health center in the area of ​​San Cristobal, despite the "infamous" agglomerations suffered by citizens in the only existing health center in this part of the city .
There will also be no money for the second Emergency Service of Primary Care (SUAP), promised after closing the one that existed in San Diego.
Martin recalled the "unanimous" commitment acquired in 2016 by the Regional Assembly to enable a Continuous Attention Point (PAC) in San Diego, while proceeding to the construction of a new SUAP in this area.
However, none of the two actions appears in the 2018 budgets of the Murcian Health Service.
In addition, the Executive of Fernando Lopez Miras has also announced the implementation of a network of high resolution centers in Murcia, Águilas, Jumilla and Cartagena, while the Lorca has pending its implementation since 2009, year in which it was announced .
"The PP has entered into a loop and, for the third year in a row, it is recommitting a game to carry out the second phase of the work to convert the old hospital of Santa Rosa de Lima into a center for clinical specialties, an action that had to be finished last July, "explained Martín.
In this regard, the mayor of IU-Greens recalled that the game for 2018 "is still insufficient" because six million euros are needed to complete the four phases of the project and that users of public health Area III can have a service that allows to diagnose serious illnesses in a single consultation and that "they have been waiting for a decade".
Martin recalled that his demand "is not a whim of IU-Greens" but "a pressing need" and the obligation of the PP to fulfill a commitment he acquired with Lorca.
The councilor of IU also criticized that the PP has decided to give up the reconstruction of the health center Lorca-Center, demolished after the earthquakes of 2011, and whose users were transferred "provisionally" almost seven years ago to two Santa plants Rosa de Lima
In this regard, Martin has reported that his training has received numerous complaints from patients and workers about "the poor organization and lack of space" of the health center, divided into the first and fourth floors of said building.
Martín has lamented that the PP scanty resources for public health while fattening the concerts to the private.
As a sample, he alluded to the only private hospital with which the municipality has "just expanded and renovated its facilities through an investment of more than one million euros that comes out, fundamentally, from what it receives for the concert with the Murciano Health, which is public money, "he criticized.
In this regard, Martin said that, in 2016, the SMS allocated 142.6 million euros to pay the bill for the concerts, 6.7 million more than in the previous year and that, in the Region, the private one is carried around to 7% of public health expenditure.
