The PSOE denounces that the CARM still owes more than 675,000 euros to the solidarity table in aid for rent (12/01/2018)

New initiative of the Lorca socialists to demand in the Regional Assembly the payment of rents to those affected and the debt that the Regional Government maintains with the solidarity table.

The PSOE denounces the lack of forcefulness of the current mayor unable to demand their heads of Murcia to pay the aid they owe, almost seven years later, to those affected by the earthquakes in Lorca

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro has taken stock of the last meeting of the solidarity table in which it became clear that the Autonomous Community still owed more than 675,000 euros to the solidarity table.

Ensures that the balance of the solidarity table is "totally devastating."

Navarro informs that the Solidarity Roundtable currently has 92,622.47 € in its accounts, while the Autonomous Community has pending payment in the form of reimbursable rental aid the amount of € 675,297.47.

For the solidarity table to have that current balance, the City of Lorca has had to inject 100,000 euros in the last quarter.

In fact, there are already 600,000 euros that the City Council has had to inject from the municipal coffers to cover the debt held by the Regional Government, which in three months has only been able to send € 40,130.45.

That is to say, to date of today, the Autonomous Community owes to the Solidarity Table the amount of 675,297.47 €;

in the last three months he has only paid the "alms" of 40,130.45 euros, while the City Council has had to inject 100,000 euros to attend to those affected who have not yet returned to their homes.

Judging by these movements, from the PSOE ensures that "this management can not be done worse."

Faced with this situation, which is repeated without anyone doing anything, from the PSOE demand more force in the claims to the Autonomous Community "if they are made."

During the course of the meeting, Navarro asked that the PSOE's requirement that steps be taken must be recorded in the minutes, requiring the CARM to make immediate payments to the rent immediately and to justify those steps in documentary form.

They also asked that the CARM be pronounced clearly in the sense of whether extensions to rent subsidies are going to be granted, since there are still families who have not yet returned to their homes.

Navarro regrets the lack of forcefulness of Gil Jódar who "either does not dare or does not care to confront his Murcia leaders to demand that this situation be regularized".

For this reason, and to supply "what the Mayor of Lorca does not do", the Socialists have again presented an initiative in the Assembly to demand the payment of compensation that the Regional Government still owes to those affected, for which they ask that it is paid with default interest.
