The PSOE requests that a 'safe itinerary' be enabled for the users of the Incarnated Pass ships due to the danger of the Pantano Highway (20/02/2018)

They consider it very necessary that at least one of their margins be developed to ensure the safety of those persons, especially minors, who travel on foot from the Barrio de San Cristóbal to the facilities of the Paso Encarnado and a reinforcement of public lighting, given that it is a road where vehicles reach high speeds that make it dangerous.

The PSEO councilor, David Romera, has asked the PP government team to urge the Directorate General of Roads of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, to proceed with the establishment of a safe route to ensure the safety of those users who travel from the San Cristóbal neighborhood and other places on foot to the facilities that the Incarnate Pass has on the Carretera del Pantano.

Romera argues that the complaints of users who go to the installations of the Incarnate Pass along the Pantano Highway are "continuous", given that it is a dangerous road where vehicles reach high speeds, there are high traffic crossings such as the road that goes to the river to La Velica, does not have sidewalks, speed reducers or pedestrian crossings, and the existing public lighting is insufficient ", despite being a place well traveled by these users and neighbors of the area Also, remember that it is a place where many workshops and industrial buildings are concentrated, a service station and the facilities of the Community of Irrigators of Lorca.

David Romera says that most of the complaints, "come from mothers or other relatives accompanying children to the ships of Paso Encarnado to perform their rehearsals for the parades and processions of Easter in the bands of drums and corners of the brotherhood ".

In addition, this problem affects the rest of users of the facilities and those people who pass through this place as a step for the realization of sports or walking activities "that have to circulate along the edges of the road".

For this reason, the socialist councilor calls for a safe route to take advantage of the security offered by the large eucalyptus trees next to the road with the construction of a walk on the left bank of the road (towards the Pantano), which has all the necessary safety elements (adequate pavement, marking, signage, elevated pedestrian crossings, a bike path).

In addition, Romera calls for the placement of speed reducing bands on the roadway, the improvement of road signs and an increase in public lighting in the area to avoid the shadow areas that currently exist.

All this, the councilor concludes, so that the Carretera del Pantano, within the urban area of Lorca, "stops being an unsafe and even dangerous place for those who walk on foot, and becomes a new area of expansion and entertainment for the population. "
