Marina Gracia and Francisco Montoya win the Ãngeles Pascual Awards in a tenth edition in which 238 narrations have participated (26/02/2018)

The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has made public the decision of the jury of the 10th Narration Contest for Secondary Education "Ángeles Pascual Prize", in which 238 narrations of students of compulsory secondary education of the center have participated. IES San Juan Bosco, Ciudad del Sol School, IES Ramón Arcas, IES Prince of Asturias, IES High Pedanías and San Francisco de Asís School.

The contest pays tribute to the historical teacher of the institutes Ibáñez Martín and Ros Giner, director of the Municipal Library for more than 30 years and Adoptive Daughter of Lorca, Mrs. Ángeles Pascual.

In the category destined to 1st and 2nd year ESO students, the winner was Marina Gracia Fernández, a student of the 2nd year of the ESO of the San Francisco de Asís School, with her story "Una vida juntos".

The second prize has corresponded to the narration "The Journey of Said", work of Pedro Campoy Fernández, student of 1 ° of the ESO of the IES Ramón Arcas Meca.

The third prize has been for the story "The boy who fulfilled his dream", written by Antonio Ibarra Romera, student of 1 ° ESO of IES Ramón Arcas Meca.

Finalists have been Ana García Salinas, 1st of ESO of the IES San Juan Bosco, for "April 12", Rania El Bouzidi, student of 1 ° of ESO IES Ramón Arcas Meca, for "My last tear" and Juan Antonio García Ros, 2nd of ESO also from IES Ramón Arcas, for "Intuition".

Regarding the category destined to 3rd and 4th year ESO students, the first prize went to Francisco Montoya Giménez, student of 3º of the ESO of the San Francisco de Asís School for his narration "La biblioteca de la Sra Smellbrook. "

The second prize went to Clara López Periago, also a 3 ° student of the San Francisco de Asís, for her narration "Amor Mío".

The student of 3 ° of the ESO of the IES San Juan Bosco Laura Bonaque Belyaeva has won the third prize with her story "Atormentada".

Finalist in this category was Elena Soriano Blázquez, 3rd of the ESO of San Francisco de Asís, with her narration "Marusa".

The prizes will be delivered on Thursday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Activities Room of the Pilar Barnés Municipal Library.

The jury of the contest organized by the Municipal Libraries of Lorca has been chaired by the Councilor for Education and University of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, and formed by the writers Andrés Ruiz Sanz and Manuel Morales García, the Secondary Education teacher Encarna García Carrión and the librarians Susana de Torres Mora and Luisa María García Peñas.
