The PSOE demands in the Assembly that the Autonomous Community pay what it owes to resume the reconstruction works of the neighborhood of San Fernando (01/03/2018)

Casalduero denounces in the Regional Assembly the halting of the works of reconstruction of the district of San Fernando and blames of it to the Regional Government of the PP, too accustomed to dam aid and not to face in time to the payments that correspond to him as competent administration

The regional deputy of the PSOE, Isabel Casalduero has registered a motion in the Assembly to demand that the Autonomous Community "pay what it owes" to the construction company responsible for the reconstruction of the San Fernando neighborhood, so that they can resume the work They have been paralyzed for weeks.

The Socialists seek to "solve" the "obstacle" that the Autonomous Community is assuming for the reconstruction of this neighborhood that, seven years later, continues without returning to normal.

Casalduero says that the ordeal suffered and continue to suffer these neighbors is "unbearable," as it is "unprecedented and indecent" the lack of definition and lack of commitment of public administrations to these neighbors who remain outside their homes since the fateful earthquakes of 2011 in Lorca.

With its motion, the PSOE once again gives "voice" to families affected by the paralysis of these works promised for years and that should be delivered in the summer of 2017.

To do this, the Socialists will require the Governing Council of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia to immediately proceed to the payment and settlement of the part that corresponds to the work certificates pending payment, so that the winning company of the works, the UTE Ferrovial Barea, can restart the reconstruction works of the Barrio de San Fernando.

The socialist deputy wonders what this Lorca president is doing, together with his Lorca advisors, one of them, former mayor of Lorca, not to intercede and do everything possible so that the government they direct, pay what they owe and do not give place where these works are paralyzed.

Casalduero demands López Miras and Jódar to put themselves, if they can, in the skin of these more than 200 families of Lorca to know the "indignation and concern" of those who remain outside their homes since May 2011, and who have been continuously "dizzy" with dates and deadlines that "never come".

From the PSOE report that this motion seeks to strengthen also the mandate that the Plenary of the City of Lorca agreed on Monday, unanimously of all political parties, to urge the Government Council in the same way for the CARM to pay what you owe and the company can resume works.
