This year's motto is "What hurts most of the Parkinson's is how you look at me" and has the objective of avoiding the social isolation of the people affected.

The volunteers of the association have also been collecting small economic contributions in exchange for a solidarity sticker

The Councilor of Oenegés of the City Council of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz, together with the president of the Association Lorquina de Enfermos de Parkinson (ASLEP), María García, attended this morning the petition table installed in the Alameda de la Constitución by of this association on the occasion of World Parkinson's Day that is celebrated on April 11 under the motto "What hurts most of the Parkinson's is how you look at me".

In this table information and informative documentation has been offered in order to raise awareness of society about the issues surrounding this disease and avoid social isolation of the people affected.

The volunteers of the same have been collecting small economic contributions in exchange for a solidarity sticker to show their interest and concern for all people affected by this neurodegenerative disease such as Parkinson's.

María del Carmen Ruiz reported that "ASLEP is doing an excellent job and has encouraged all those who pass through the Alameda de la Constitución to do their bit, since with a small gesture they have many resources available to help so much He also wanted to raise awareness among the population about the many cares that Parkinson's patients need and for this reason, the Lorca association is leaving the skin for the benefit of the sick and families ".

The Councilor of Oenegés wanted to remember that "Lorca is a City of Solidarity with Parkinson's and therefore this event was of undoubted celebration." It should be noted that Lorca collaborate with this association every time an event is held as is the case of the V San Silvestre '' Ciudad de Lorca '', charity parades, #retoyosipuedo, the run Run for Parkinson and music festivals, etc. Our city is very aware of this disease but we are still encouraging all Lorca to make a small donation to this cause".

Finally, Ruiz expressed his gratitude "to the work that this association is doing, from Lorca City Council we are very proud of the operation of the organization and will continue to collaborate."
