The Symphony of the Region accompanies the guitarists Carlos Piñana and Lukasz Kuropaczewski at the Teatro Guerra de Lorca (26/04/2018)

The Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia (OSRM), with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, participates tomorrow Friday, April 27 (8:30 pm), at a concert at the Teatro Guerra de Lorca that will have the guitar Spanish as the protagonist, with Carlos Piñana and Lukasz Kuropaczewski.

Admission will be free until full capacity is reached.

The musicians, under the direction of maestro César Álvarez, will tackle together with Carlos Piñana from Cartagena the suite for guitar and orchestra 'Rubato', composed by the guitarist himself and by the producer Pedro Contreras.

A work that deals with the different flamenco styles in a symphonic key and in which the percussionist Miguel Ángel Orengo also participates.

The general director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts (ICA), Marta López-Briones, said that "the beauty that results from the fusion between Piñana flamenco and the music of our orchestra is well known to all, Well, there have already been many occasions in which we have been able to enjoy this special union ".

Next, one of the most outstanding guitarists of the moment, the Polish Lukasz Kuropaczewski, will perform next to the regional Symphony one of the masterpieces of the twentieth century guitar repertoire, the Concierto de Aranjuez, by Joaquín Rodrigo.

"In a concert with the guitar as a protagonist, this work could not be missing, the most widespread of its kind both in Spain and abroad," added López-Briones, "and if, in addition, we have one of the most internationally acclaimed musicians as soloist. As Kuropaczewski is, success is assured. "
