The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana today opened the new Asprodes residence, located in Puri lorquina council, which will be attended to 80 people with disabilities in situations of dependency, and whose operation involves creation of 17 new jobs.
The project, funded by regional and state administrations with Asprodes has a total construction budget of 4.4 million euros.
Of the 80 residential places offered by the residence, 55 will be arranged with the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration.
Councilor Bascuñana welcomed the entry into operation of the new center and said that "it is magnificent facilities, which are granted to persons with intellectual disability assistance and training to improve their quality of life and facilitate their personal autonomy. "
Its facilities include medical, psychological and social, physical and occupational therapy, among other amenities, to ensure a lifestyle as standardized as possible, to combine work and fun.
Another aim is that users become aware of their job opportunities to feel useful from work.
Contracted with 204 seats in Lorca Asprodes
The region has contracted with Asprodes a total of 204 seats in the municipality of Lorca, of which 189 are residential and 15 day care center.
Also, through an agreement with the Federation of Associations of Mentally Handicapped of the Region of Murcia (Fadis) for the maintenance of facilities and services, Asprodes receives funding for Occupational Center (56,550 euros) and the former residence (788 615).
In the center supports the draft Workshop Poultry Farm, home to 203 users.
The residence is scheduled for 74 users attended by 29 professionals.
