According to the General Account of the City debt has grown by 10% last year (23/07/2010)

The spokesman on Economic and Socialist Party councilor in Lorca, Isidro Abellán, today described as "total chaos" the accounts of the Municipality of Lorca.

Abellán said that the PSOE has gone from being "concerned" to be "scared" after learning of the General Account of the consistory in 2009.

The Socialist leader said that last year the City's indebtedness increased by almost 10% since has gone from 86 to 94 million euros.

With respect to bank debt it has increased ten million euros and is now coming to the 61 million (58 loans and 3 of policy).

Abellán said the Municipal Council on Monday approved the first time in its history thanks to the votes of the PP a debt exceeding 100 million euros.

And, a debt of 94 million which closed the year 2009, we must add the 3.5 million policies that have been signed this year, and the other 4 million in policies aimed adopt the PP in full next Monday.

Thus, the debt of the consistory will be placed at 101.5 million euros "demonstrable roles," said Abellán.

According to the settlement of income and expenditure provided in the General Account, the City Council has recognized receivables for 100 million euros, of which 89 have been cleared.

Obligations are also reflected in the amount of 85 million euros, of which only paid 63.

Meanwhile, Abellán recalled that Jódar is incurring unnecessary costs and very costly.
