Agriculture Councilman of the City of Lorca, Angel Ruzafa Mecca, has reported that as of this morning, will proceed to the delivery of products for the eradication of Ceratitis capitata Wiedemann (better known as "Mediterranean fruit fly ' ), in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Autonomous Community.
The council stressed that the withdrawal of this product is free, and can be done in the Fairground Santa Quiteria, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 to 12:00 am while supplies last.
To receive a product is necessary authorization issued by the District Land Office of Lorca, but farmers and withdrew the product last year and therefore have tab may pass directly over the phone and will be cited for delivery.
Angel Meca stressed that this action is part of the experimental campaign against fruit fly from the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, in cooperation with several municipalities, among which is that of Lorca.
Management by farmers will be delivered the following materials for the 2010 season:
1.-For lots of citrus (oranges, tangerines and clementines early and mid-season, with harvest to December): Play more insecticide bait for fly fisherman, according to available equipment and area, based on share listings previous years.
2.-order plots of table grape varieties that are susceptible to attack by the fly, located in any municipality in the region: the corresponding bait and insecticide.
The materials provided for this season are:
· Bait Feraz CD TM, sedeq, consisting of a compact envelope.
· Insecticide Ferg Sedqa TM ID, consisting of a compact envelope.
