The Councillor for Employment, Social Affairs and Immigration Services of the Municipality of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, handed diplomas to the young participants in the training of new technologies and renewable energy.
The Councillor for Employment, Social Affairs and Immigration Services of the Municipality of Lorca, Lali Ibarra, closed municipal program of intercultural integration 'A 3 Bandas', which involved more than 270 people from nine nationalities.
In this act Ibarra presented the diplomas to the students participating in the two training workshops on new technologies and renewable energy.
The Councillor of Social Services has highlighted the work being done on this program for both youth training and development of leisure activities with young people between 11 and 19 years, directed their social integration, prevention of truancy and antisocial behavior.
Lali Ibarra said "through them, students have acquired skills, social skills and cohabitation, and attitudes and skills that enhance personal development."
The mayor explained that "we have worked with the beneficiaries and their families, analyzing their needs and contributing to their social integration in the municipality. Furthermore, it has promoted awareness and cultural exchange between the different nationalities living in the municipality, activities which have involved groups in the area. "
The Councillor stated that "for this, apart from training activities and truancy prevention program with sports and entertainment and new technologies have been developed games, from families to foster communication, peaceful coexistence and conflict resolution; three information days of the new ordinance on protection of civic and prevention of antisocial activities, visits to Expoestudio, CEMACAM and solar farms, jobs mediation and family counseling, parent education .... "
Thus, social mediators, monitors and municipal social workers have worked with 108 young people aged 11 and 19 years (of which about 35 have received a grant of 100 euros in products of basic needs and another 100 in cash), 66 parents and mothers, and 20 members of different households participating in the program, as well as hundreds of residents of the municipality.
Participants were from nine different nationalities: Spanish, Ecuadorians, Moroccans, Colombians, Bolivians, Algerians, Bulgarians and Poles.
