The director of the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, Veronica Lopez, accompanied by the councilman of Youth council of Lorca, Joaquin Ruiz, today visited the young people involved in the field of cultural work that takes place in the council of Lorca Coy.
The 23 volunteers from different Spanish regions and Germany and France.
The activities in this field, the oldest in the region of Murcia which began in 1982, will be held from 2 to 16 August.
During this period the participants will organize and set in place social and cultural activities geared to different segments of the population such as children, youth, women and seniors.
It will launch a summer school to teach school support, fair gaming, sports and computer, a festival of music, food shops and a championship game of cards.
Volunteers also participate in recreational activities and leisure, including excursions and trips to tourist attractions and culture of the region.
Veronica Lopez said that "these activities promote the values of solidarity and respect between young people from different social and geographical realities, as well as raise awareness of the cultural richness of the Murcia Region."
Joaquin Ruiz for his part stressed that "with this new concept in this field of work extending the leisure offer in the hamlets high Lorca during the summer months."
For the year 2010, the Summer Youth Institute Youth earmarked 419,000 euros, 47,000 euros to the Fund brings Mediterranean.
Other partners are the youth councils of the municipalities where they develop the various camps and labor camps.
